Crockpot Applesauce
The perfect easy fall recipe to fill your home with the cozy smell of cinnamon and apples -- and have your whole family coming back for seconds!
INGREDIENTS
- 12 - 15 Tart Apples (peeled, cored & cubed)
- 12 - 15 Sweet Apples (peeled, cored & cubed)
- 1/3 cup Sugar (more depending on taste preference)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Water
INSTRUCTIONS
1.). Peel, core and cube apples. Put into the crockpot. It will be   heaping!
2.) Add in sugar, cinnamon and water. Cover and turn on high.
3.). Â Stir occasionally until applesauce reaches desired consistency.
4.). Â Enjoy!
Try adding a pinch of cloves and nutmeg to give it a warm fall flavor!
Crockpots vary so much in cooking time. Mine takes roughly 8 hours on high to cook the applesauce. I've often left it on low overnight and finished it in the morning as well.
This recipe freezes great!Â
Notes: the crockpot will be heaping when the apples are first put in. As they cook down the level will gradually drop.
